Glöggli — Privacy Policy

Glöggli is a local-only alarm app. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

Data we don't collect

No personal information
No usage analytics or telemetry
No crash reports
No device identifiers (no advertising ID, no IMEI, etc.)
No location data

Data stored on your device

The app stores your alarm configurations locally on your device:

Alarm time, repeat weekdays, enable/disable state
Per-alarm ringtone choice, volume, vibration setting, snooze duration, fade-in preference and duration
App language preference

This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.

Permissions

Glöggli requests the following Android permissions:

Permission	Why
`USE_EXACT_ALARM` / `SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM`	Required to fire the alarm at the exact time you set, even under Doze battery optimisation.
`POST_NOTIFICATIONS`	Required (Android 13+) to display the alarm UI when it fires.
`USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT`	Required to display the dismiss screen over the lock screen.
`WAKE_LOCK`	Keeps the CPU running while the alarm is ringing so it doesn't go silent mid-ring.
`VIBRATE`	Used when the per-alarm vibration option is enabled.
`RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED`	Re-schedules your alarms after the device restarts so they still fire.
`FOREGROUND_SERVICE` / `FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK`	Plays the alarm sound and vibration reliably while the alarm is active.

None of these permissions are used to gather data about you or your device.

Children's privacy

Glöggli does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated text will be published at the same URL where you are reading this document. Substantive changes will be accompanied by an update to the "Last updated" date at the top.
